Well as you can see nothing to show from the course this week either, so you get another piece of the hearts are all around, those with eagle eyes will notice the bottom part of the panel is not complete, picture looked a bit boring with out it. However work has progressed on the course and I have changed my line drawing artist to William Morris. I spent a lot of the week looking at various artists and they just were not hitting the mark some how and I started to get a bit dispondent about it all. Then I remembered William Morris fabrics and wall papers and went onto the SST facebook page and asked if it would be OK to use William, I got a yes from Marj Rutter whoop whoop. Have strarted to look at a "potted history of his work" having to look at a lot of stuff as he wrote and was into politics and generally seems to have had a very full life, going to have to pick my way through to find relevent things, have found a V and A book on him so will look into that. Also had an e-mail from my course tutor this week introducing herself sounds like a nice lady, she answered a question and was really helpfull. I got Beryl Burton anyone else got the same tutor?
Whoops look what fell into my Amazon basket when I was getting printer paper! Takes a bit of reading but is very clever. It's on the bucket list.
Going to do a cut and cut again workshop with my local group. These fabric were chosen by my children (with some help) so I can make cushions for their bedrooms. I managed to get to The Sewing Studio in Redruth (never been before) as the children had a teacher training day and my minded children's mum took the day off. Wow lovely shop.
And this is for the Mariners compass workshop in March, could you tell it was payday? Have to be organised as fabric shops are a way away and I don't get a chance to go often, oh dear this is turning into confessions of a fabric shopper. That's it for me this week.
